The Truck
2003 Ford Ranger XLT – It has a 3.0 liter engine with 5 speed manual transmission with two wheel drive. Up until 2025 I had performed all maintenance and upgrades to the truck. During our Winter Adventure in 2025 the truck started acting up at a mileage just shy of 300,000 miles. After running some diagnostics on it, I discovered Cylinder 1 had low compression, come to find out Cylinder 3 was also underperforming. I opted to have a remanufactured engine installed since everything else on the truck is good condition and configured for our adventures. Towing the trailer the truck averages between 12 and 15 miles per gallon. It's currently fitted with Falcon LT235/75R 15 Falken WildPeak A/T4W Tires from TireRack.com.
