Melomel (Flavored Mead)
Although there's no official classification for a "Mead Sommelier", we would come pretty close to it if there was. Mead is an alcoholic beverage made from fermented honey, water, and yeast, with optional additions like fruit or spices. It is one of the oldest alcoholic drinks, with a history stretching back thousands of years. We have been blessed with the friendship of an individual who operated an award winning Meadery/Winery in our home state of Florida. Through this friendship, years of attending Renaissance Fairs / Viking Festivals and visiting Meaderies across the United States and England we've developed a deep understanding in the processes necessary to create a desirable Mead. Patience is key, as proper aging is crucial for developing flavor, consistency and the meads smoothness. When we're not mixing cocktails, you'll typically find us with a horn of Mead.
